Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about MediCore's services, products, compliance approach, and how to work with us.
MediCore Distribution Services Limited is a PCN-licensed pharmaceutical wholesale distributor focused on oncology and specialty medicines in Nigeria. We connect international manufacturers of essential cancer medicines with Nigerian hospitals, oncology centres, and specialist pharmacies through compliant, reliable distribution.
We work with two primary groups: healthcare providers (hospital pharmacy departments, oncology treatment centres, and specialist pharmacies) who need reliable access to oncology medicines, and international pharmaceutical manufacturers (EU-GMP and WHO-GMP accredited) seeking a compliant distribution partner in Nigeria.
Our portfolio covers the core oncology therapeutic categories: platinum-based chemotherapy agents (carboplatin, cisplatin, oxaliplatin), taxanes (paclitaxel, docetaxel), antimetabolites and cytotoxic agents, supportive oncology medicines, oral and endocrine therapies (tamoxifen, aromatase inhibitors), and a growing pipeline of targeted specialty products. All products are sourced from EU-GMP or WHO-GMP accredited manufacturers.
Not all products are held in stock at all times. Product availability depends on current NAFDAC registration status, manufacturer supply schedules, and import timelines. We maintain stock of core high-demand products and can arrange supply of other portfolio products on request. Contact our team for current availability information on specific medicines.
Contact our team via the enquiry form or by phone with details of the product(s) you require. We will confirm current availability, expected delivery timelines, and any relevant regulatory or supply considerations. For hospital and oncology centre partners, we aim to respond to availability enquiries within two business days.
Product quality is maintained through several controls: we source exclusively from EU-GMP or WHO-GMP accredited manufacturers; all products arrive with full quality documentation including Certificates of Analysis; receiving, storage, and dispatch are pharmacist-supervised; cytotoxic products are handled under documented SOPs; and we maintain full batch-level traceability from manufacturer to healthcare facility.
International manufacturers interested in distributing oncology products in Nigeria through MediCore should contact us via the enquiry form or by email. We will arrange a confidential initial discussion to understand your products, market objectives, and distribution requirements. The process typically involves market assessment, regulatory pathway review, agreement negotiation, and onboarding before commercial distribution begins.
MediCore holds a wholesale distribution licence issued by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN). Our operations are aligned with NAFDAC requirements for pharmaceutical importation and distribution. We support the NAFDAC registration process for products we distribute and maintain documented compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
We aim to respond to all enquiries within two business days. Urgent supply enquiries from existing hospital and oncology centre partners are prioritised. For general business and partnership enquiries, our team will typically make initial contact within two business days to arrange a more detailed discussion.
