Compliance and Quality Standards
Rigorous regulatory alignment, disciplined sourcing, and pharmacist-supervised operations across the entire supply chain.
Regulatory Alignment
MediCore Distribution Services operates under a wholesale distribution licence issued by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), the regulatory body responsible for oversight of pharmaceutical premises and distribution activities in Nigeria.
Our operations are aligned with NAFDAC requirements for pharmaceutical importation and distribution. We support the NAFDAC product registration process for the oncology medicines we distribute, working alongside manufacturers to ensure all necessary approvals are in place before products enter our supply chain.
All products in our portfolio are sourced exclusively from manufacturers holding current EU-GMP or WHO-GMP accreditation, ensuring pharmaceutical quality standards that meet international regulatory expectations.
Regulatory Credentials
- PCN Wholesale Distribution Licence: PCNOG018
- CAC Registration Number: 8829036
- NAFDAC regulatory alignment for product importation and distribution

- Products sourced from WHO-GMP accredited manufacturers
Quality and Handling Standards
Pharmaceutical quality is maintained at every stage of the MediCore supply chain through documented processes and professional oversight.
Pharmacist Supervision
All receiving, storage, and dispatch activities are supervised by qualified pharmacists who ensure that handling protocols are followed and product integrity is maintained throughout the distribution process.
Cytotoxic Handling SOPs
Cytotoxic medicines are handled in accordance with established standard operating procedures designed to protect product quality and the safety of personnel involved in handling these specialist products.
Cold Chain Awareness
Where products require temperature-controlled storage or transport, MediCore follows appropriate cold chain protocols to maintain product stability from receipt through to delivery at the healthcare facility.
Sourcing Discipline
MediCore maintains rigorous manufacturer qualification criteria. Before any product enters our supply chain, the manufacturer must satisfy a documented qualification process covering:
- Current EU-GMP or WHO-GMP accreditation status
- Regulatory inspection history and compliance record
- Product quality documentation including Certificates of Analysis
- Manufacturing site audit reports where available
- Supply reliability and commercial track record
We do not source from unaccredited manufacturers. This principle is non-negotiable, regardless of commercial pressure, supply urgency, or pricing considerations.
Supply Chain Integrity
Maintaining the integrity of oncology medicines throughout the supply chain is fundamental to patient safety and regulatory compliance. MediCore implements the following controls:
- Full product traceability from manufacturer to healthcare facility
- Batch-level documentation and record-keeping
- Documented receiving and inspection procedures
- Secure, access-controlled storage facilities
- Controlled dispatch and delivery processes
- Adverse event and product recall procedures
