About MediCore Distribution Services
An oncology-focused pharmaceutical wholesale distributor building reliable medicine access across Nigeria.
Company Overview
MediCore Distribution Services Limited is a Nigerian pharmaceutical wholesale distribution company focused on oncology and specialty medicines. Based in Abeokuta, Ogun State, we hold a Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) wholesale distribution licence and operate as the critical supply link between international manufacturers and Nigerian healthcare facilities.
We work with EU-GMP and WHO-GMP accredited manufacturers to source essential chemotherapy agents, targeted therapies, and supportive oncology medicines, distributing them to hospitals, oncology treatment centres, and specialist pharmacies across Nigeria.
Our Mission
To improve access to safe, effective, and affordable oncology medicines across Nigeria through compliant wholesale distribution, disciplined sourcing from accredited global manufacturers, and reliable supply partnerships with healthcare providers and treatment centres.
Every decision we make is guided by a single question: does this improve the reliability, quality, and accessibility of oncology medicine supply for Nigerian patients?
Operating Philosophy
MediCore is built on three principles that govern every aspect of our operations.
Compliance First
Regulatory compliance is not a constraint on our business. It is the foundation. Our PCN wholesale distribution licence, NAFDAC alignment processes, and pharmacist-supervised operations ensure that every product we handle meets the standards expected by regulators, manufacturers, and healthcare providers.
Oncology Specialist
We have chosen to focus on oncology and specialty medicines because cancer care demands a distributor that understands the clinical urgency, handling requirements, and supply sensitivities of these products. Specialisation allows us to serve this market more effectively than a general distributor.
Disciplined Supply
We source only from qualified, accredited manufacturers. We maintain documented processes for every step from procurement to delivery. We do not take shortcuts with product quality, handling standards, or regulatory requirements, because patient safety depends on supply chain integrity.
How We Work
MediCore's distribution model is designed around the practical requirements of oncology medicine supply in Nigeria.
Sourcing and Manufacturer Qualification
We identify and qualify manufacturers based on regulatory accreditation (EU-GMP, WHO-GMP), product quality documentation, and track record. Every manufacturer relationship begins with a documented qualification process before any product enters our supply chain.
Pharmacist-Supervised Handling
All products are received, stored, and dispatched under the supervision of qualified pharmacists following documented standard operating procedures. Cytotoxic medicines receive specialist handling in accordance with established safety protocols.
Regulatory Navigation
We support the NAFDAC registration process for products entering the Nigerian market, working alongside manufacturers to prepare documentation and navigate regulatory requirements. We maintain alignment with PCN wholesale distribution guidelines throughout our operations.
Distribution and Supply Coordination
We distribute to hospitals, oncology centres, and specialist pharmacies across Nigeria, coordinating supply against clinical demand patterns to minimise treatment disruption. Our logistics are managed to maintain product integrity from receipt to final delivery.
Core Values
Quality
Uncompromising standards in every product we source, every process we follow, and every partnership we build.
Integrity
Transparent, honest operations. We say what we do and do what we say, to manufacturers, healthcare providers, and regulators.
Reliability
Consistent supply, dependable delivery, and the operational discipline that healthcare providers need from their distribution partner.
Patient Impact
Every operational decision is ultimately measured by whether it improves medicine access and supports better outcomes for cancer patients in Nigeria.
Partnership
Long-term, collaborative relationships with manufacturers, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies, built on mutual trust and shared goals.
